Geronimo, TX – May 1, 2025 – The Navarro FFA Chapter proudly announces the outstanding achievements of its four teams at the recent state FFA competitions. Navarro FFA members demonstrated their knowledge and skills, competing against top teams from across the state.

The Floriculture Evaluation team led the way, earning 4th place out of 69 teams (269 individual contestants). Team members Justin Braune, Kendalynn Pruitt, Faith Palla Castillo, and Sandy Rogers showcased their expertise in floriculture. Justin Braune's exceptional performance earned him a spot tied for 8th place individually (Top 3% of contestants), while Kendalynn Pruitt and Faith Palla Castillo both placed in the Top 15% of contestants.

The Farm & Agribusiness Management team, consisting of Rylan Trost, Austin Rodriguez, Colter Strauch, and Weston Woerndel, secured 22nd place out of 61 teams (234 individual contestants). Both Rylan Trost and Austin Rodriguez achieved Top 25% individual rankings.

In Stephenville, the threatening weather conditions didn’t put a damper on their knowledge and abilities. The Range Evaluation team, composed of Giovanna Coello, Justin Braune, Kendalynn Pruitt, and Faith Palla Castillo, earned 17th place out of 55 teams (212 individual contestants). Giovanna Coello achieved a Top 20% individual ranking. The Land Evaluation team, made up of Abigail Burt, Jada Bloom, Baylor Brown, and Rylan Trost, placed 43rd out of 60 teams (234 individual contestants).

"I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all of our students," said Michael Woerndell, Navarro FFA Advisor. "Their success at the state level is a testament to their passion for agriculture and the quality of our FFA program. The students have put in countless hours preparing for these contests, sacrificed time traveling across the state and keeping up with their studies, and their achievements reflect their commitment to excellence."

Navarro ISD congratulates all team members and advisors on their accomplishments and recognizes the time and effort they dedicated to representing Navarro FFA at the state level.
