The communications team champions the opportunities available to all students, families, and staff in Navarro ISD by building relationships, delivering clear and concise information, and celebrating accomplishments throughout the district.

The office serves as a liaison between the school district and all stakeholders through press releases, digital publications, and media sources to reinforce the mission and goals of Navarro ISD. 

Among the Responsibilities are:    

  • Serve as the information liaison between the school district and community
  • Serve as district spokesperson and coordinate media coverage including preparing press releases and publishing articles and photos in local media and other publications
  • Ensure that public information activities contribute to the attainment of district goals and objectives
  • Design, prepare and edit district publications, including newsletters, recruitment brochures, programs for special events and other publications
  • Serve as district representative on community committees as required. Demonstrate awareness of district-community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs including speaking at civic organization meetings and make presentations.

Publications

District Updates and Board Notes is a monthly digital newsletter published on Thursdays following Board of Trustee meetings. The publication  includes a message from the Superintendents, board action taken, Bond at Work updates, campus and program celebrations and upcoming events. Newsletters are delivered through ParentSquare.

Panther Progress is our quarterly publication that showcases programs and activities working toward the strategic priorities, cornerstones, and objectives within our 5-Year Collaborative Vision. Together, we're growing our students, our district, and our community in Navarro ISD - The Heart of Geronimo.
