Transportation Updates

Transportation requests will open for the 2026-2027 school year for returning students, beginning July 1, 2026.

  • You will need to request transportation services for each child through the EZArrival mobile app.
  • To ensure your child has a bus route assigned for the first day of school please submit your request no later than Friday, July 31, 2026.
  • Your child’s bus route information for 2026-2027 will be available through the EZArrival mobile app by Friday, August 14, 2026. Any bus route information visible before that is subject to change as we process incoming requests.

For students new to Navarro ISD, you will have to wait and submit your transportation requests after you have completed the new student open enrollment. Once new student enrollment has been completely processed at the campus, it can take up to 48 hours before you can create an account with transportation and submit your request.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the transportation office. We will be glad to assist you.

Bus Service

Three young girls in purple shirts smile for the camera on a school bus.

School bus transportation is available to all students living two or more miles from school, and service is provided at no cost to students. Bus routes and stops will be designated annually, and subject to change based on operational needs. Please be advised that we do have a small number of buses in our fleet that do not have A/C. Students are allowed and encouraged to bring a water bottle, and windows are to be down during the ride to help with circulation. We are in the process of looking into options to upgrade the fleet to add more buses with A/C in the future.

For the safety of the driver and all passengers, students must board buses or other vehicles only at their designated stops, and drivers must unload passengers only at their designated stops.

The district has identified the following areas where hazardous conditions exist for students who live within two miles of the campus: State Hwy. 123. Students in these areas might encounter hazardous conditions when traveling to and from school independently, the district will provide transportation to these students. Please contact The Transportation Director for additional information.

  • Students may only ride their assigned bus assigned. Students may not ride another bus home/to school with a friend/family member.
  • Students may only get on and off at their designated location.
  • Students must use their student ID (Junior High & High School Students) or bus tag (Elementary & Intermediate Students) to enter and exit the bus.
  • Students are expected to assist district staff in ensuring that buses and other district vehicles remain in good condition and that transportation is provided safely. When riding in district vehicles, including buses, students are held to behavioral standards established in this handbook and the Student Code of Conduct.
  • The Transportation Department continually works to consolidate stops where locations permit improved efficiency. Please check your BusQuest or EZArrival mobile app for the most up-to-date information about your child(rens) bus route.

EZArrival Mobile App and Registration

Navarro ISD utilizes the EZRouting system which has two components; the online parent portal and a mobile app. You may select one or the other or both, but you do not need both. All families are strongly encouraged to download the mobile app to receive notifications regarding bus route changes and when your child scans on and off the bus.

The company is transitioning away from the BusQuest App (currently in use) to EZArrival. The BusQuest mobile app will be supported until December 31, 2026. Families are encouraged to make the switch earlier to limit interruptions in services. Families who currently have the BusQuest app may download the new app and use their same login credentials. New families should download the EZArrival app and create a new account. Please click on the user guide below for more details.

Please note that your child(ren) must already be registered to attend school at Navarro ISD before you will be able to complete your account setup. Once registered at the campus it will take 24/48 hours before the information updates with the transportation department.

The EZArrival mobile app is available for download through your mobile device store. Follow the prompts to create your account and select your child(ren). Once this is complete you will be able to monitor your child's bus and receive notifications once it is in your area. Click the button below to see a picture for reference and instructions on submitting a request for service through the mobile app.

The safety record of buses and drivers is outstanding in the Navarro School District. The school bus drivers undergo an extensive training program prior to getting behind the wheel of a school bus and refresher training every year. This training helps to ensure that riding a school bus is the safest way to get to school. Infographic illustrating school bus safety rules for stopping when a bus is present.

Laws for Drivers Sharing the Road with School Buses

  • Follow school buses at a safe distance, keeping in mind that they make frequent stops.
  • Stay alert for children around buses and remember that they may not always look for vehicles before crossing the street.
  • Always stop for flashing red lights or a stop sign on a school bus regardless of which direction you’re headed, unless the bus is on the opposite roadway of a divided highway. Continue once the bus has moved, the flashing lights stop flashing, or the bus driver signals it’s okay to pass.
