Navarro ISD Welcomes New Director of Fine Arts and High School Band Director

Following a comprehensive search and interview process, we are elated to announce that Mr. Jason Adam will be joining us as our new Director of Fine Arts and High School Band Director, effective July 1, 2025.
Mr. Adam comes to us with an outstanding 27-year career dedicated to fostering excellence in education and the arts. His background includes six years in administrative leadership roles most recently as Director and Assistant Director of Fine Arts for K-12 programs. Before that he spent two decades as an award-winning band director in other respected hill country districts, consistently leading programs to achieve top honors and significantly increasing UIL and TMEA successes. He brings a wealth of experience in nurturing student talent, developing robust curriculum, and guiding programs to achieve remarkable success.
What truly sets Mr. Adam apart is not just his extensive resume, but his palpable passion for helping students and staff reach their highest potential. He is dually certified in All-Level Music (PK-12), Art (EC-12), and holds a Superintendent certification, making him a uniquely qualified and versatile leader. His expertise as a T-TESS Appraiser and extensive knowledge of curriculum and musical development underscore his comprehensive understanding of both the artistic and administrative facets of this crucial role.
Mr. Adam’s proven leadership, combined with his record of creating high-performing levels of student achievement, will usher in an exciting new chapter for our entire fine arts department. He is eager to build upon our proud traditions and elevate our band and other fine arts programs to unprecedented heights with fresh energy and innovative approaches from our youngest Panther performers to our high school seniors.
Adding to this exciting leadership team, we are also thrilled to announce that Mr. Brad Arnold, a highly accomplished percussionist and educator, will be joining our band program as the new Assistant Director. Mr. Arnold has served as the Director of Percussion and Jazz since 2014 at Canyon High School. His impressive tenure includes organizing renowned "Night of Percussion" and "Night of Jazz" events featuring international artists, guiding 12 TMEA All-State Percussion students, and earning distinguished accolades such as Teacher of the Year. His extensive experience in developing comprehensive percussion and jazz programs, along with numerous student achievements in TSSEC and Percussive Arts Society events, will be an invaluable asset to our students and our band's continued success.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Mr. Adam and Mr. Arnold. We invite our community to attend a Meet and Greet on Wed., July 2, from 6:00-6:30pm in the high school band hall. We encourage everyone to come cheer on our band as they participate in the annual Seguin "Biggest Small Town Fourth of July Parade in Texas"!
