Navarro FFA Shooting Sports Team Dominates at 2025 State Ag Clays FFA Shoot

GERONIMO, TX – June 25, 2025 – The Navarro FFA Shooting Sports team concluded an exceptional showing at the 2025 State Ag Clays FFA Shoot, held from June 8-10 at the National Shooting Sports Complex in San Antonio. Building on a strong first day, the team significantly expanded their impressive collection of accolades on the second day, ultimately securing five state banners and twelve coveted belt buckles.
The Panthers demonstrated remarkable skill and teamwork across multiple disciplines:
2nd Place All Male Super Sporting Team — Daniel Rhinehart, Waylon Gloor, Clayton Wilkins, Greyson Karlik
3rd Place Mixed Super Sporting Team — Clayton Wilkins, Hailee Munk, Daniel Rhinehart, Waylon Gloor
4th Place All Female Super Sporting Team — Hailee Munk, Rylee Flippin, Makayla Peterson
3rd High Overall Jr. Ladies Super Sporting — Alyson Rauschuber
3rd High Overall Jr. Ladies Trap — Makayla Peterson
Individual achievements also highlighted the team's depth of talent. Alyson Rauschuber distinguished herself by earning 3rd High Overall in Jr. Ladies Super Sporting, while Makayla Peterson secured 3rd High Overall in Jr. Ladies Trap.
The Navarro FFA Shooting Sports team extends a heartfelt “THANK YOU" to Mr. Wilkins and all the dedicated volunteer shooting sports coaches for their time and commitment throughout the year. Special appreciation is also extended to Brett Moyes and his staff at Moyesway Shooting Sports for their invaluable support. Furthermore, the team acknowledges the unwavering support of the Navarro FFA Booster Club and all the team parents.
The Ag Clays program introduces Clay Target Shooting to students participating in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Ecology Management curriculum, enhancing classroom learning and developing critical skills in firearm safety, laws, and promoting ethical shooting and hunting practices. This extracurricular extension of the FFA program is made possible through the dedication of Ag Science teachers and parent volunteers. Annual competitions like the State Ag Clays Shoot provide participants with opportunities for team and individual recognition, prizes, and scholarships.
