Confidence and Connection: Navarro ISD Crowns Finalists at the Second Annual Panther Shake

Geronimo, Texas – December 17, 2025 – The energy was electric at the second annual Navarro ISD Panther Shake, where twenty talented students from Kindergarten through 5th grade gathered to showcase their communication skills. Hosted by the inaugural Panther Shake Champion, sixth-grader Paityn Lange, the event celebrated the essential life skills of eye contact, firm handshakes, and confident conversation with adults. Students from Navarro Elementary and Navarro Intermediate met with ten expert judges, ranging from district leaders to community guests, moving down the line every two minutes to prove they have what it takes to stand out in future interviews and professional partnerships.

The competition, hard work and talent shown was evident of the dedicated support of campus leaders Coach Pullin, Coach Spanton, and Mrs. Gregersen. The "shakers" were evaluated on their handshake, greeting, volume, and overall conversational success. The atmosphere remained supportive and high-energy, with Paityn encouraging competitors to stay confident and smile through the nerves. After the rounds concluded, every semi-finalist was recognized with a certificate for their achievement in advancing from the campus rounds and mastering the social skills that will serve them long after they leave the classroom.

The event reached its peak with the announcement of the six students moving on to the Championship round. These finalists will have the prestigious opportunity to test their skills against local dignitaries, including the Mayor of Seguin, County Sheriff, Superintendent Epley, and other local celebrity judges on January 16th. While every participant played a part in building this unique district legacy, the following students were named the official finalists:
