UIL Spirit Squad Receives Board Recognition

At the February Board of Trustees meeting, we were proud to recognize the Navarro UIL Spirit Cheer Squad. For the second consecutive year, these athletes traveled to Fort Worth to represent the Panthers at the UIL State Spirit competition.
Competing in the Game Day Spirit Category, our Panthers stood their ground against 63 other 4A Division 2 teams from across the state. This level of competition requires not just athleticism, but precision, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to school spirit.
While every member contributed to the team's success at State, several individuals earned prestigious state-level and team honors this season:
|
Allyson Antista |
TGCA 4A All-State Cheerleader; Captain’s Choice for UIL |
|
Jade Dahlke |
TGCA 4A All-State Cheer Team; TCA Academic All-State; Team’s Choice for UIL Competition |
|
Presley Larson, Tamara Villarreal and Landri Wilson |
TCA Academic All-State |
|
Leah Reyes |
Team’s Choice for UIL Competition |
|
Anna Elisa Hedemann |
Coach’s Choice for UIL Competition |
The Texas Coaches Association Academic All-State honors are a testament to these students' ability to maintain excellence in the classroom while competing at the state level.
Members of the entire state competing squad whose hard work fueled this run:
Kyndle Blevins, Addilyn DuBose, Kiley Kernan, Ainsley Pircher, Khloe Rodriguez, Madelyn St. John, Mallory Velasquez, Bailey Weatherly, Payton Wyatt, Finley Gallini, Angela Garza, Lyla Grace Henke, Kaitlyn Schaefer, and Rylee Thompson.
Success like this starts with strong leadership. Thank you to Head Coach Amy Dahlke and Assistant Coach Andrea Velasquez for their dedication to these students and for building a program that competes at the highest level in Texas.
