Navarro ISD Celebrates Outstanding Staff with Annual Honors

Geronimo, TX – March 25, 2026 – Navarro ISD is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual Campus Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year awards. Superintendent Dr. Mandy Epley, along with Dr. David Kauffman, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and School Leadership, Wendy McMullen, Chief Academic Officer, and campus administrators surprised the deserving honorees on Tuesday, March 23, with the exciting news.
These prestigious awards recognize exceptional teaching skills, positive influence within their schools, professionalism, and genuine care for student academic, social, and emotional well-being. The honorees are selected through a process of peer and colleague nominations and voting, highlighting the high esteem in which they are held by their fellow educators, colleagues and administration.
The 2025-2026 Navarro ISD Campus Award Winners are:
Elementary School:
- Teacher of the Year: Kim Boerjan, Kindergarten
- Support Staff of the Year: Amanda Lindsay, Campus Registrar
Intermediate School:
- Teacher of the Year: Hannah Dreibrodt, 3rd Grade
- Support Staff of the Year: Stephanie Gray, Campus Secretary
Junior High School:
- Teacher of the Year: Amy Dahlke, Math and Head Cheer Coach
- Support Staff of the Year: Nikki Gresham, Paraprofessional
High School:
- Teacher of the Year: Chad Neubauer, CTE Engineering/Robotics and Head Golf Coach
- Support Staff of the Year: Lorena Gomez, Secretary to Administrators and Counselors
"At the very center of the heart of Geronimo are the dedicated educators and support staff members we honor today,” said Superintendent Dr. Mandy Epley. “These individuals do more than just teach; they embody our mission by cultivating the positive relationships and collaborative partnerships that allow our students to truly grow and succeed. This is never more evident than during our surprise announcements. When I ask the students what they love most or why their teacher deserves this recognition, their heartfelt answers make it clear: our educators and staff are truly fulfilling our promise to create dynamic, engaging spaces where a culture of inquiry is ignited and every student has a strong voice. By facilitating innovative, cross-curricular learning and fostering deep connections with our families and community, these honorees are ensuring a successful future for every student in our Panther Family."
