Navarro ISD Invites Newest Panthers to Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup Events this April

GERONIMO, TX – March 6, 2026 – Navarro Elementary School is excited to open its doors to the next generation of learners. The district has officially announced the dates for its annual Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup, providing families a firsthand look at the vibrant and supportive community that awaits their children for the 2026-27 school year.
Roundup events are an invitation to help families navigate the enrollment process while experiencing the "Panther Family" culture. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and speak with representatives from Special Education, Transportation, and Child Nutrition to ensure a smooth transition into the district.
Event Dates & Times
- Pre-K Roundup: Wednesday, April 16 | 4:45 PM – 6:30 PM
- Kindergarten Roundup: Monday, April 21 | 4:45 PM – 6:30 PM

Eligibility Requirements
To enroll for the 2026-27 school year, students must meet the following age requirements by September 1, 2026:
- Pre-K: Must be 4 years old.
- Kindergarten: Must be 5 years old.
Per Texas law, Pre-K eligibility is determined by meeting at least one of the following criteria:
- Income: Qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch (requires pay stubs, tax returns, or SNAP/TANF letters).
- Language: Unable to speak or comprehend the English language (testing provided by the school).
- Military: Child of an active duty member, or one who was injured or killed while serving.
- Foster Care: Current or former foster care placement.
- Homelessness: As defined by federal law.
- Star of Texas Award: Child of a parent who received this specific honor.
