Navarro ISD Superintendent Dr. Mandy Epley Honored with Prestigious TMEA Distinguished Administrator

GERONIMO, TX — June 2, 2026 — In a surprise presentation this May, Navarro ISD Director of Fine Arts Jason Adam, alongside members of the district's fine arts team, surprised Superintendent Dr. Mandy Epley with the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Distinguished Administrator Award.
The TMEA Distinguished Administrator Award recognizes upper-level school administrators across the state who have been instrumental in preserving quality music education programs in their districts. It honors leaders who show a deep commitment to providing a high-quality, well-rounded educational experience for all students.
This prestigious recognition comes on the heels of Navarro ISD being nationally recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education.
Dr. Epley was nominated for the TMEA honor by Jason Adam, who praised her unwavering dedication to the district’s creative programs."Dr. Epley leads all of Navarro ISD with such a high level of dedication and passion for excellence," said Adam. "We are particularly grateful for the support shown to develop our district music programs, which ultimately led our district to earn a national distinction this year for the quality of music education."
